It is a beautiful time to be here in Naples, FL. The weather is mild and the traffic is well..... Let's put it this way, it is very easy to see why our community has so many visitors.
I just wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts on the state of the insurance marketplace here locally. It seems that many of the reforms that the legislators put in place and there are more options for Florida homeowners and prospective homeowners. We have added several new insurers to our stable of reliable companies to serve our customers and that activity has been very good for the consumer. It wasn't very long ago that rates as well as very tight guidelines made buying insurance in this area for properties we much more difficult. Many times, a prospective client would call our agency and inquire about insurance on a property that they were considering purchasing, and we were unable to provide a reasonable quote for that. Now, times have changed and insurers are feeling much more comfortable entering the marketplace and offering home insurance at a more affordable rate. This is good for home buyers, home sellers and the property values of the folks that own property here in southwest Florida.
